Prayer for Discernment 

“You have dealt well with Your servant
O Lord, according to Your word.
 Teach me good judgment and knowledge
For I believe Your commandments.”

(Psalm 119:65-66 NKJV)

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before Your throne today asking for guidance in a circumstance in which I don’t know what to do. 

Help me to make the right decisions and judgment in this situation.  Show me the truth and the path I need to take in all wisdom.

Don’t let me deceived by sin; make things crystal clear to me. Holy Spirit let me see things that aren’t obvious that I may have a discerning spirit.  Teach me to be sensitive and not judgmental no matter how things look. 

Give me the understanding and ability to see Your purpose and plan so that Your will is done and not mine Lord.  I commit this to You trusting the outcome to be of a Divine nature.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Peace When Oceans Roar

 

When oceans of tumult around you rise

And distresses like thunders rumble,

 

When the ship of life cowers in unholy dread

And your spirit-man is made to humble,

 

Call upon Me, says the Lord our God

In the day of thy many trouble,

 

I shall PEACE speak to thy livid storm

Be still, thy feet shall no more stumble!

Prayer for Direction in Decisions 

Dear Heavenly Father, 

Your Word says in James 1:5 that any time I lack wisdom and direction I can freely come to you in prayer. So according to the promise give me wisdom, guidance and strength to make good choices in my life that please You.  

I pray for clear direction in the decisions that I need to make at this time.  Teach me and I will listen and do as you command. 

Lead and give me discernment to know that I’m following Your plan.  Lord, I also ask that with each decision You give me peace in my spirit knowing that I have made the right choices by faith. 

Help me to listen to Your Spirit so that I may experience the fullness of Your joy in my life to live it out fully for Your glory and honor. 

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
